Bring Back the Bayou
Wetland Restoration and Community Empowerment

Bring Back the Bayou is a registered student organization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison started in March 2007 by a group of Water Resources Management students at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.

The organization was created to support a wetland restoration project in the Lower 9th Ward, New Orleans. However, the broader purpose of Bring Back the Bayou is to encourage students interested in environmental issues to use their skills in under-served communities.

All graduate and undergraduate students at University of Wisconsin-Madison are encouraged to participate.
